The new pre-Christmas 2007 Life Fitness C3 is a direct replacement for the
tried & tested C3-5. The revised C3 brings the advantage of a modern look
blue backlit LCD console and is available in two versions - Basic & Advanced.
As the console names (Basic & Advanced) suggest, there are varying degrees
of interaction. Importantly the Advanced console option offers a chest strap
& 5 heart synchronised programmes. Subsequently, your choice should be made
depending upon your workout goals & preferred feedback.

Q. GymRatZ, compared to the C1 Exercise Bike, what extras do I get for
my money with the Life Fitness C3 Exercise Bike?
A. Aesthetically the same, the C3 does offer the benefits of: Self powered
console (not plug in); harder wearing deluxe upholstery on seat;
higher grade non-slip pedals; accessory tray. Although not appearing a great
deal different (and it isn't), the C3 is 6kg heavier (53kg) - which is reflective
of the sturdier construction (& subsequently given a higher maximum user
weight of 400lb). Again, the C3 is available with Basic & Advanced consoles.
